Sulphur Louisiana Food
If you want to escape the heat of summer in Louisiana, sulfur parks and water parks are the only place you can visit. In cool weather, the winter months are a good time to go fishing, enjoy the Creole Nature Adventure Trail and enjoy authentic Creole and Cajun cuisine. This shop sells everything from fried boudin balls and cracklins to hot dogs and chicken wings. Hollier's Cjun Kitchen also offers a wide selection of Creole dishes, such as crayfish, shrimp and grains, macaroni and cheese, biscuits and sauce, cheddar cheese and more.
If you miss the cracklins, you will find a freezer with specialties such as Darby's famous corn bread and boudin in the freezer, as well as a wide selection of other Creole dishes.
There are burgers made from smashed boudin balls, called gaudidaun, which means "look" in French, and there are alligator balls if you're feeling adventurous. These fried bouillon balls are very nicely seasoned, so we will put up more of these foods.

On I-10 southbound, partially hampered by traffic jams in Houston, I left the freeway and rolled through wetlands riddled with fences - on ranches and cattle ranches. I took a path through a small town of about 1,000 people, a few hundred yards from the road, and into wetlands.
As I drove through sulphur, through the throng of gas stations and motels, I discovered a few restaurants and a few small grocery stores, but not much else. I refreshed myself in a sprawling gas station tourist trap selling alligator heads as souvenirs. About 800 meters north of the town of Sulfford, about 30 km south of Baton Rouge, there is a butcher's shop that produces 1,000 pounds of boudin every week. Hollier's Cajun Kitchen is a great family business with friendly and efficient staff serving a wide variety of meats, all controlled by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LADA) and Louisiana State Police, as well as local chefs.
Boudin master Matt Fruge, who started work while still in high school, told me his shop contains more than £1,000 of boudin a week. The characteristic dish, the lobster pistol, is a heavenly taste that offers the right blend of immaculate spices.
